64GB iPhone 4 just a typo in memo, confirms Russell Cellular
Russell Cellular -- the third-party Verizon retailer whose memo to employees last week made mention of a 64GB iPhone 4 -- reached out to us this morning to confirm that it was all a mistake: "this was nothing more than a typo that should have read '16 and 32g,'" we're being told. As you might have gathered from the memo's context, the primary purpose of the communication was to explain new functionality in Russell's point of sale system -- Horizon -- designed to "better handle the tracking and sell thru of white iPhones," not to prepare for a new set of SKUs for a higher capacity.
And really, who has more than 32GB of music and video that they'd like to carry around, anyway? (I kid, I kid.)
