OnLive hands-ons are boring. I don't say that out of insult, it's kind of the point of the service — a streaming gaming experience promising graphical ubiquity across a disparate range of products. So to say OnLive played on the HTC Flyer (finally coming "later this month or early next month") and Motorola Xoom ("later this year") work the same as their laptop and desktop counterparts do is more a compliment than anything else. We got a chance to play Virtua Tennis on both tablets, using both the Universal Controller and on-screen gamepad. Though there was some nagging compression at times and the occasional blip of input latency, I can't necessarily fault the hardware at this time (OnLive had the blessing of bringing in a strong connection and the curse of many dozens of WiFi-enabled devices) nor can I say it detracted from the experience — the feat is still impressive. CEO Steve Perlman also showed us a version Ubisoft's upcoming From Dust with touch-specific controls for the iPad. Videos after the break!
