If you thought Flipboard was set on being just a "social magazine," think again. Flipboard CEO Mike McCue has told Reuters that the company is currently striking deals with Hollywood studios to integrate movies and TV episodes into the popular iPad app. Unfortunately, he wasn't willing to reveal much more on those partnerships or capabilities, but he did say he plans to "tackle the video project at the end of the year." McCue also let on that he has plans to integrate ebooks into the app. Indeed, there seems to be lots of future plans, but if you're looking for details on Flipboard's more immediate plan, he did firmly say the iPhone version will launch in a few weeks.
