Unwilling to be outdone by Amazon and its new 7-inch Android tablet, Samsung has gone back to the form factor of its first slate device and updated it with a new Plus model. The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus gets a new thinner (9.96mm) and lighter (345g) body, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of built-in storage, 3-megapixel and 2-megapixel cameras on the back and front, respectively, and Samsung's latest TouchWiz Android skin. The latter is overlaid atop Honeycomb (3.2) and comes complete with the Kies Air utility that we enjoyed greatly during our review of the Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch. Other salient specs include a 1024 x 600 resolution, 21.1Mbps HSPA+ connectivity, and a 4,000mAh battery. Indonesia and Austria will be the first countries to get the new tablet at the end of October, followed by the rest of the world, which will see a gradual rollout. Yes, the US is included on that list. Check out the source link for the full spec sheet and more pictures of the Tab 7.0 Plus.
