We were puzzled when the webtop-enabled Motorola Photon 4G was incompatible with the Atrix Lapdock and the Droid Bionic arrived with its own dedicated Lapdock, but it all suddenly made sense when we heard about the Lapdock 100. Motorola has officially announced the redesigned accessory, which connects to devices with a cable instead of docking them in place, making it compatible with the Photon 4G, Droid Bionic, the forthcoming Atrix 2, and future webtop devices. Sadly, there's no mention of the original Atrix. Other changes include a smaller 10.1-inch display (shrunken from its 11.6-inch predecessor) an updated Firefox browser, and a new version of Adobe Flash. Motorola says the Lapdock 100 will be available on AT&T on October 17th, while it'll arrive on Verizon and Sprint later this quarter at a price yet to be announced.
