Lenovo ThinkPad X130e leaks, headed to shelves in December
In addition to the ThinkPad X1 Hybrid and the next generation ultrabooks, it looks like Lenovo is also (somewhat unsurprisingly) prepping an update to the ThinkPad X121e. Named the ThinkPad X130e, it will feature a new, more ruggedized design with a stronger keyboard, a rubber bumper on the lid, a stronger bezel and hinges, and stronger corners.
We don't have a full spec sheet available for the X130e, but we know that it will be the same size at 11.6-inches and weighing in at under 4 pounds, and it should feature far better battery life at around eight hours. Its predecessor, the ThinkPad X121e is a Windows 7 model with a 1.3GHz Intel Core i3-2357 CPU on the top of the line model with up to 4GB of RAM, and up to a 350GB HDD.
It looks like the new Lenovo ThinkPad X130e will be available sometime in December, but no pricing information is available yet.
