Why are retailers selling the Kindle Fire?

The same retailers that cry about how Amazon is killing their business are selling an Amazon tablet that puts shopping online front and center. Surely the thin profit they make off those tablets can't be worth the potential sales they'll lose when customers figure out it's cheaper and more convenient to shop on their Kindle than to go to the store.
