Hands-on with the Samsung Focus S and Focus Flash

Hey guys, I went to last week's gdgt Live in Los Angeles event for my site (WindowsPhoneDaily.com) and I thought I'd share some video and impressions with you. I got some hands-on time with four of the new Windows Phones coming to the U.S.: T-Mobile's HTC Radar 4G, AT&T's HTC TITAN 4G, AT&T's Samsung Focus S 4G, and AT&T's Samsung Focus Flash 4G (so...much...branding!). You're probably pretty familiar with the Titan and Radar now, so here's some stuff about the Focus S and Focus Flash.

The Focus S was pretty nice to play with and is definitely a sequel to the original Focus. The hardware has the same kind of curves and feel to it, with a mostly plastic body except for the aluminum-ish back cover. Plus it has a bunch of nice features like a front-facing camera, 8-megapixel rear camera, 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus screen (gorgeous!) and it's only 8.55 mm thin.

You can read more of my own impressions and some pics in my hands-on article.

Then there was the Focus Flash (known as the Omnia W internationally) which actually really surprised me. It's a little bit thicker than the original Focus and it has a smaller 3.7" Super AMOLED (not Plus) display, but I have to say the hardware is much nicer than the Focus S. It definitely seems more durable to me and it still has a lot of the same features including the 1.5 GHz processor and front-facing camera. It also has a physical home button, which should make some people very happy.

Once again I have more impressions and pics in my hands-on article.

So if you guys have any questions about either phone or even the Titan 4G or Radar 4G then go ahead and ask!

/end shameless self-promotion :P
