The reason why I love IOS

First the main reason I love ios is the beauty and detail they put in all elements. Lets start with the Lockscreen and work our way in. The lockscreen simple, the font is nice easy to read.

Notifications on the lockscreen are wonderful, following the theme or slide to unlock, you can slide notifications to open them. it takes you to the app that the notifications are.

Let's move onto the homescreen, at the homescreen you are presented with a nice screen of well spaced out icons, presented at a 4X4 lay out through each screen, and a 4 icon dock. The thing about it since it's a grid they made sure all their icons looked great and were the same size. No offense to any android users but i hate how all the icons are different strange shapes and sizes. Then the dots at the bottom were a great idea to let you know what page you are on. The page you are on the dot will be lit up for it. It's always centered everything is always clean. Then the calendar changes each day to reflect the date. Then status bar is transparent and goes with any background you use.

Then there are folders, you can easily make a folder by dragging and dropping icons on top of each other, i know android borrowed this feature recently, but it still isn't the same, the one on the iphone autonames the folder to reflect the content that is in it. Then the icon is the same size as other icons and opens up pretty nicely pushing everything and dimming the background so you can see the content inside. Then the background for the same as the one for notification center and the multitasking bar.

Like is said earlier multitasking, and notification center have the same background and theme to keep it consistent.

Newstand opens the same way and follows the same theme.

Then from homescreen lets move to settings, the setting app has everything cut off into sections, with icons, words and descriptions for somethings. Most settings for apps will be found here in a unified area.

Then lets move onto apps, the apps are excellent, they follow the ios template with back button on the top lefthand side, different sections of the app on the bottom. All apps do this from the apple apps to the 3rd party apps. If they dont follow the design completely they do their own thing but keep some of the elements in them. Here are some examples.

One of the new elements added in ios 5 is the refresh button when you can't go back anymore, first shown in contacts and is being added to more and more apps.

In conclusion I believe all this detail and unification in the ui helps to generation a better user experience. I truly believe apple got it right. Oh and another thing if you haven't noticed the colors in ios are mainly sliver and blue. Apps even take those colors into consideration. This is the reason why I am happy with ios.
