Marvel Digital's attempting to cash in on the 3D "craze" by offering a box that supposedly brings your boring 2D TV into the third dimension. This $60 box sits between your Blu-Ray player and HDTV and can convert 2D images to anaglyph 3D, which works with blue-and-amber 3D glasses. Not surprisingly, there's a few caveats, most notably that this probably won't work with 3D Blu-Ray, as the Marvel only works with "side-by-side" 3D like DirecTV and ESPN use, not the higher-quality sequential 3D used by Blu-ray. It'll also attempt to do virtual 3D conversions on your standard 2D content, though we can't vouch for how well it works or how long you'll be able to watch it without feeling ill. While this might not match an actual 3DTV, it's at least an inexpensive curiosity. And isn't wondering whether or not you're going to be sick worth $60?
