Generative art creators discuss the relationship between humans, data, and computers
PBS Arts OffBook has a fascinating short on generative art, a practice composer Luke Dubois describes as surrendering "control over some aspect of what's going down, to a process." For example, he took the day-to-day casualty stream of the Iraq war, and turned it into a six movement string quartet that reflects the "arc of the conflict."
