Acer and Lenovo to introduce quad-core Tegra 3 tablets with Android 4.0 early next year
It's no surprise that Acer and Lenovo are looking to compete with the latest hardware — their friends at HTC and ASUS are in the mix as well — but it's nice to hear that work is underway on snappier Android tablets. Digitimes is reporting that the companies will launch quad-core Tegra 3 tablets with Android 4.0 in the first quarter of 2012, and that the tablets are expected to be priced between $459 and $599, which would put them squarely in competition with the iPad. Acer and Lenovo still need to confirm their tablets, but we hope to get a peek at the unnamed devices at CES in January.
