The Galaxy Note surprised many with its 5.3-inch, 1280 x 800 Super AMOLED display at a time when some of us were still pondering whether or not 4.5-inches was overkill. Samsung's been pretty quiet about the plus-sized device since that announcement, but a Facebook event today has announced its imminent arrival. In case you forgot, the Galaxy Note comes with a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB storage options, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front camera, and an S Pen stylus. The device has also been rooted by XDA Developers. While Samsung hasn't announced any pricing details, two online retailers have filled in that blank for us. Clove is selling the smartphone unlocked for £594 (VAT included — it's around $792 without VAT), while Phones 4u will only sell the device alongside a two-year contract with Orange.
