Is there really a need for rear facing cameras on tablets?
Looking into buying my first tablet and went to a best buy the other day to take a look at a few, one thing I noticed with practically every tablet was that they all included these rear facing cameras, similar to what you find on a smartphone, but why?? I thought the whole purpose of tablets was for indoor wifi only use etc.
The front facing camera is phenomenal for video chat, but It just seems like a waste of resources to add in a rear facing camera, to me its like having a rear facing camera on a laptop, very redundant to say the least, I would gladly buy a tablet without one and I'm sure it would drive down the costs of tablets exponentially if they weren't included as well.
Do any of you actually use your rear facing cameras to take alot of photos? and do you find the rear facing camera useful, redundant or both?
