Good Deal: 50GB free Box.net storage when you buy an LG Android phone
Cloud storage provider Box is teaming up with LG to provide 50GB free storage to buyers of LG Android phones. This follows HTC's partnership with Dropbox to offer a similar service, but that only gives 3GB to Sense 3.5 phones, rather than the manufacturer's whole range. The 50GB personal package would normally cost $19.99 monthly, but users who sign in to Box on an LG phone will receive the capacity upgrade free for life. Best of all, it also works retroactively, so any LG owners with Android 2.1 or greater can take advantage of the promotion.
The deal runs until the end of March 2012, and mirrors a similar offer that's ending soon for iOS devices. There's no word on similar deals for other Android manufacturers as yet, though.
