I miss CCDs - Canon C300
I finally got around to watching Mobius - it was a pretty cool short film :-)
Clearly the C300 is an impressive piece of equipment. Great dynamic range, low light performance, shadow detail etc. But one thing really annoyed me. During the close ups of the actors in the car traveling on the rough road I could see a strange "jitteriness". It was tiny, but it was there.
As the actors bounced up and down there was just enough affect of the rolling shutter of the CMOS sensor. I think the relative movement to the background added to it. The effect was tiny, but it was enough for me to notice and then I couldn't un-see it. Wider shots were fine, and the overall performance seemed great.
I miss CCDs / film :-)
