Skype for Android update 2.6 brings photo and video sharing
Skype has just announced a major update to its Android application, version 2.6. This update brings with it photo and video sharing over 3G or WiFi, and apparently improves both battery life and video quality for Tegra 2 devices, which include the Motorola XOOM and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. The Skype team is also assuring customers that they are working to add further devices to their "whitelisted" for video calling, and have added the HTC Amaze 4G, the Motorola Droid 4 and the Motorola Droid RAZR to that list. The list currently includes 41 devices, including the HTC Sensation, the Samsung Galaxy S II, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play.
