Sony DSC-HX100V mini review
So a week ago I received my Sony DSC-HX100V in the mail and have to say, after to mild usage I am very happy with my purchase. I wanted a versatile camera that could shoot decent in low light, have great Zooming, had GPS, and obviously took great shots, all while not forcing me to lug around a bunch of lenses. The Hx100v fit the bill and I chose it over the Canon SX40, mostly for the GPS, sweep panarama, better reviews and much better LCD.
Some Key specs of the HX100v are :
16mp Backlit CMOS Sensor
30x Zoom
GPS
Sweep Panorama Mode
DSLR like shape and feel
Etc.
What I love:
- absolutely great looking photos
- Very Accurate GPS tagging
- Really great Auto and Intelligent Auto mode
- Really cool features like HDR and Background Defocus which works fantasically
- great sharpness
- movie mode is absolutely great! 1080p with image stabilization, zooming and auto focus
- really great manual features with ability to create presets
- amazing macro shots
- fairly decent in low light
- Battery like could be better, I get 2 hours and 40 minutes of usage generally
- Wish it had some fun features like color swap and color pop like my Canon sx210 has.
