It's December 15th in parts of the US which means that the Galaxy Nexus is now available to purchase from Verizon. It'll cost you $299 plus a two-year contract but you already knew that. You also know that it's probably the best Android smartphone available anywhere thanks to the pure Google experience of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Amazon Wireless has its page up as well with a $199.99 takeaway price. However, it still shows a backorder of 8 to 9 days. Verizon ships for free overnight.

Just for kicks we priced our model with plans for unlimited voice, unlimited messaging, and the 20GB data bundle for a total monthly bill of $169.99. But hey, it's the LTE Samsung Galaxy Nexus, why not live a little?

UpdateLetsTalk is now selling the GNex for $154.99 with new contract.
