Windows 7 Laptop Recommendations

Hey everyone,

I'll soon be in the market for a new laptop, and I'd really like some helpful imput from the VergeMind. My primary use for it is for producing music with all of the other standard uses (light gaming, email, web, video, etc).

I know it is easy to find a laptop with beast specs, but I'd like to find one that combines style and power. To help start the conversation, I'll tell you that I really like the design of the Samsung Series 7 laptops. That should give everyone a clue toward my design tastes. It has great horsepower too so it might be a top contender.

If you had a budget of $1,000 - $1,500, what would be the ideal WINDOWS laptop?
