Apple iPad (Wi-Fi + 3G)

This is a great tablet, and in my opinion, outshines every other tablet out there, other than the iPad 2. With iOS 5, the first iPad can still run every app on the app store very well, even the newest games. The iPad is definitely an entertainment device, and it does it very well. From browsing the web to playing games to reading iBooks, the experience is smooth and fun. It turns out that I didn't need the 3G as I've only paid for it once when there was a power outage in my city, but the 3G version also includes a GPS chip that can come in handy, although you'll need to have a data connection to load the map, or have them preloaded before your trip.
