Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket
Reviewed by Mortem Tuam (Currently owns)
The Samsung Galaxy S2 SkyRocket is an amazing phone that delivers amazing performance at LTE speeds. Having owned a Samsung Captivate previous to this, the performance is of course noticeable superior (even with the Captivate running a custom ROM).
Overall the design is appealing and I am glad they did away with the square lines of the Captivate. The display is bright and crisp, though some have complained about screen lines on the pentile screen at low resolution. I tend to have my screen set about half way on brightness and have no issues.
The camera could use some help, it is far better than the Captivate but I found the camera having focus issues, not a common complaint but it is my experience.
Call quality is acceptable though could be better because the speaker just sounds tinny.
Performance is amazing, this thing screams, though it is not running the faster chip of the SGS2, it is hardly noticeable.
Battery life started off choppy but since I have had this a month now I can get a full day on one charge now so I can live with it. Of course I'd like longer.
I think the SkyRocket is a solid choice if you have LTE available to you and I would recommend this phone over the SGS2 ONLY if you have LTE.
Hope you enjoyed the review, I tried to keep at as brief as possible. ;-)
