HTC Evo 4G

Have had this phone for about a year now, and it is showing it's age (came out a year and a half ago since this review). For it's time (yes, a year and a half was that long ago as far as smartphones go), it was a pioneer in design and specs. The kickstand is surprisingly useful at times, and although I never used it, the hdmi out was a first. However, I do have a couple issues with it. First is the battery life, which is drained even faster when connected to 4G. Another annoying thing is that when you put the phone down on its backside, it sits on the camera lens that protrudes from the back, which ends up in a scratched lens. Also, the performance is pretty sluggish compared to phones coming out now. This phone will always hold a place in my heart as my first smartphone, but in the end, I am happy to move on to smaller and faster things.
Pros:
Camera is decent (dual LED flash is nice)
Screen size is just right (IMO)
Design is unique
Cons:
Sits on camera when laid down
Poor battery life
Slow performance compared to new models
