LG Optimus 7

The LG Optimus 7 is often overlooked and forgotten about when it comes to choosing a Windows Phone. Only some of this is justified. When upgraded to Windows Phone 7.5 the Optimus 7 gets a shot in the arm. Everything is fluid and smooth as you'd expect.
The phone has a pleasant enough design and feels nice in the hand. One thing that LG should be commended for is includng 16GB of storage when other manufacturers were mostly happy to saddle consumers with 8GB.
Before this phone I owned a HTC 7 Mozart. I had a few problems with it (camera died) and after it was fixed decided to sell it on and get the Optimus 7. I'm pleased I did this as the Optimus 7 also seems to last the whole day on one charge. I found this wasn't possible with the Mozart.
The display is obviously nowhere near as joyous to look at as the latest iPhone. But the fluidity of Metro and the smoothness of the UI does give it a sense of beauty. Also, the camera tends to always give me satisfactory pictures but nothing that will blow you away.
In summary, this is an above average phone. It can be picked up relatively cheap now (got mine for £200 unlocked) and is a great choice for checking out what Windows Phone is all about.
