I bought the HTC Thunderbolt back in March because it was the first (and at the time only) phone with Verizon 4G LTE. The 4G is definitely the phone's best feature (speeds are amazing!), though the battery life that comes with it is somewhat painful (it seems a little bit better in Gingerbread, and use of wifi when possible greatly alleviates the problem). Overall, it functions like a typical HTC Android phone. Performance is good, though occasional lag occurs (especially with the messaging app). My major concern at this point is the uncertainty regarding an official ICS upgrade, but one can always root their phone and install a custom ROM should HTC decide not to develop an update. Overall, I'm satisfied with it as my daily driver.
