At first when the 3DS came out it was ridiculously unsupported by software and games. But over the past year Nintendo has filled the gap with great games such has Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, and Oot 3D. The latest system update brough welcome additions to the 3DS and they have promised to release a messaging service before the end of 2011. That will mark if Nintendo really is ready to step up to the big leagues in terms of gaming community. The 3D is also more then a gimick and when in a comfortable position definitely worth turning up. In Nintendo life fashion there will be the acceptably priced Circle Pad Pro peripheral for sale, before the 3DS is a year old. The E-Shop also provides lots of content to download, though the DSiWare has its share of shovelware and then some, the E-Shop exclusives provide mostly quality downloads especially with Nintendos 3D Classics and their latest games. The 3DS was definitely worth every penny I paid (especially after the $80 price drop). And if in any way you are a fan of Nintendos games you will be too, as Nintendo has revisited countless classics and has plans for more such as Kid Icarus.
