Microsoft working on fix for users locked out of Xbox Live profiles
Since Microsoft updated the Xbox Live Dashboard a few weeks ago, a number of users have experienced errors that prevent them downloading their profiles, accessing any purchased content, or playing on the Xbox Live network. Fortunately for those afflicted, Microsoft has acknowledged this issue and currently working on a fix, according to a statement given to Joystiq. Microsoft specifically mentions error code "801540B7" in its statement, though error code "80070571" is reportedly causing similar issues — we're hoping the update fixes both errors. That said, users may need to be patient: a number of posters on the Xbox Live support forum said they've been told by support agents that this problem won't be fixed until after the holidays.
