I had high expectations for the Galaxy Nexus, but perhaps those expectations were too high. I expected blazing fast performance, and while most things run very smoothly, some things can run slowly from time to time (Android 4.0.3 promises to fix these bugs, but I'll have to see it to believe it). HD videos look amazing on the 720p screen, but on light colored backgrounds (white and gray), you can definitely tell that it's PenTile. I do love Ice Cream Sandwich, but the Galaxy Nexus isn't the best hardware to serve as a flagship device. The 5 megapixel camera is, while ridiculously fast, about as good as my HTC Droid Incredible from April 2010 in terms of image quality. LTE performance is amazing (I average close to 20 MBPS down), but battery life is terrible. The device itself looks and feels great, though the buttons can get flimsy. I will definitely be keeping my Galaxy Nexus, but if promised software updates don't come soon enough, I may have to turn to custom ROMs. It seems (almost) everything about the Galaxy Nexus is great in theory, but the execution could be a bit better.
