The Kindle Touch is minimalistic and good-looking in its design (but it is nothing special) with only one button on the front and one other button (the screen lock). Its software is Java-based, not Android like its counterpart, the Nook Simple Touch. But it gets the job done with search, X-ray, and Easy Reach. It has the best ecosystem among E-readers. Its performance is fast, with the exception of getting it unlocked, which is a minor annoyance. It has a very crisp and easy to use touchscreen E-ink Pearl display that only refreshes every 6 page turns in most books. Its battery lasts for a long time, depending on web use, downloads, and whether you are on WiFi. In all, this is the best option for an E-reader currently on the market.
