2012 the year of the iPad 3? That's up to Apple.

I don't think there's much deigning that 2011 was the year of the iPad 2. Maybe if the year went on a little long it could have been the year of the Kindle Fire. But it didn't. Now we're facing a new year: 2012. And Apple is facing a new challenge: the little tablet. I believe that if Apple creates a stellar iPad 3 that keeps the 9.7" display while dropping the price a bit, 2012 will be the year of the iPad 3. If they decide to produce a 7" tablet with very few new features, it will be the year of the inexpensive small tablet.
