Facebook Messenger for Windows released!
Facebook just made its Messenger client available for download on Windows, as reported by Engadget. It's essentially a Facebook app for Windows, with the ability to view notifications, messages and chat, friend requests, and the new "mini news feed" unveiled with this year's redesign of the site. One nice feature is the ability to dock the window on the edge of the screen, as well as being able to minimize it to the system tray to continue to receive notifications when it's not in use. And, for the privacy concerned, it does have the ability to log out of your account on the app.

What are your thoughts? Is this the desktop Facebook client you've been waiting for? Will it replace your current Pidgin/Miranda/Other 3rd party Facebook solution? Leave your thoughts in the replies.
