After an unfortunate last-minute hiccup, Microsoft's Larry Hyrb, better known as Major Nelson, has announced via Twitter that the Xbox Live dashboard update is "in the process of rolling out to all Xbox Live members." We haven't seen the update land on our consoles yet, but reports have started rolling it that some users have.
We hope you like tiles — in addition to a new, Metro-style UI, the update adds Bing voice search, beacons, cloud saves, and more. Keep an eye for a much-improved Netflix app for Xbox Live today, too, as well as a few other new and / or upgraded apps. Windows Phone users can expect the Xbox Companion App sometime today, which as the name suggests will turn your handset into a console remote for both navigating the menus and video playback controls.
Check out our video walkthrough to get caught up on what's new this time around, as well as our full list of Xbox Live video content partners and their release schedule from today through early 2012. Don't worry, Verizon FiOS TV users, you'll be getting support this month.
