LG LU6200 teased for Korea's 75Mbps LTE network: 1.5GHz CPU, 4.5-inch 720p HD screen
The LG LU6200 has been teased by an LG Telecom microsite hinting that it is coming exclusively to South Korea in the very near future. Hidden away on the site is a spec page that makes this black monolithic slab look like a worthy successor to the Optimus 2X: a 720p 4.5-inch AH-IPS display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel camera, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, and MHL. Further specs appear to have been uncovered by Newspim and IT Story including Android 2.3, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of onboard storage, an 1830mAh battery, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, NFC, and DMB for television. Size-wise, it's reported to come in at 132.0 x 56.9 x 10.5 mm and weigh 123 grams.
The biggest feature, however, is actually the network it will run on. LG Telecom recently launched a new LTE TDD network in Seoul with plans to go nationwide next year. The network, which was branded "U+ Lte", is capable of speeds of up to 75Mbps. LG is teasing an October release, so stay tuned.
