HTC Flyer price cut to $299 at Best Buy starting tomorrow
Seven might be the magic number for Android tablet manufacturers, but $499 is definitely not; now that you can preorder a Kindle Fire for $200, competitors are bracing for sticker shock. Today, Best Buy announced it'll drop the price of the HTC Flyer to just $299, which sounds like a heck of a deal. There's no dual-core processor inside and no Honeycomb OS yet -- it runs Android 2.3 for now -- but out of all the 7-inch tablets we've tested it's arguably the most well-rounded. In case you're curious, that means a single-core 1.5GHz processor with 1GB of RAM, 16GB storage and a 1024 x 600 display, seven hours of battery life and an optional stylus pen. There's plenty more to discuss before you run out to your local retailer, though -- why not peek our full review for the entire rundown?
