Logitech Performance MX

Before this mouse I was using the Logitech MX 518. It was a great wired gaming mouse and after 3 years of owning it, it is still just a great as when I bought it. The reason I wanted a new mouse is because I had just built a new Sandy Bridge machine, and I wanted to get rid of almost all of my wires with the new rig. After reading hundreds of reviews I finally found the wireless mouse for me.

Look and Feel:
This thing really looks great. It fits my hand perfectly. It might be a bit big for the smaller handed individuals but for me its perfect. It glides on my glass desk and really compliments my Logitech K800 keyboard.

This mouse performs rather well for any task I throw at it. The adjustable scroll wheel is great, and I have never blazed through documents so fast. I have changed the zoom button to act as a middle click since it can sometimes be difficult on the scroll wheel. The expose feature is more for adding more bells and whistles I believe. I can see how some users will love it and other (like myself) will forget its even there. I do wish the battery indicator would tell me its status more often. Speaking of the battery, this thing holds a charge pretty well. I will say I wish it was a bit more, but I am just being picky. I only have to worry about charging it I would say every 9 days. The tracking is perfect. Smooth and precise. I did have some problems with this mouse tracking on glass. It only works for me if the receiver is pretty close (within 6-8 inches) and the battery is above 25%. It will be a bit hit and miss if I don't hit this criteria, but its not hard to achieve. The unifying receiver is also a really nice touch and only took downloading one more driver to work.

The Package:
I normally wouldn't include this in a review, but logitech did a great job in this aspect. They include all necessary cables, a wall charger, and even a little leather bag to keep it all in. Premium product at a good price.

This is the best wireless mouse on the market for desktop use. It has great tracking, great look and feel, and many great features. If you are looking for a great wireless mouse for the home or office, THIS is the mouse to get.
