Bang & Olufsen showed off its new BeoVision 12 and BeoLab 12 television and loudspeaker systems today at CES, and we got a chance to check them out for ourselves. The BeoVision is a 65-inch 3D plasma TV with integrated 7.1 surround sound speakers. To our eyes, the 3D looks very good, with a bright screen and rich colors — of course, you're going to have to shell out $11,350 to get your hands on one (or $19,749 if you want to throw in B&O's proprietary video engine and sound processor). You can expect the BeoVision 12 to land in late February or March.
The BeoLab 12 loudspeakers are beasts of their own, each including two 6.5-inch subwoofers, one 2-inch midrange speaker, and one 3/4-inch tweeter, all providing 480 watts total audio power. The speakers are very sleek looking aluminum units with quite a bit of power — while we listened along in a small room in The Venetian, we were pretty blown away by the sound quality and loudness. The BeoLab 12 is due out sometime in the Spring, and will set you back $4,880.
