Use Envy coupon? Or wait for ultrabooks?

I am close to pulling the trigger on the HP Envy 15 with a 30% coupon. I want it for general use, but also a bit of Programming (Visual Studio), music prod (FL Studio/ Virtua DJ), video editing (Adobe Premier) and lastly some gaming.

I am not a hardcore pc gamer (mostly xbox) but I do want to play games like the up coming Command & Conquer, Diablo III, Starcraft II, and those kind of pc games. (not MW or Cal of Duty, those I'd rather play in the console).

The one thing making me hesitate is the whole slew of new Ultrabooks coming out, some are really nice (the thinner the better, for me) and later on they 'll start having Ivy Bridge... should I wait for one of those? Could they handle my needs? (I like the Envy Spectre)

Also, if I DO go with the Envy 15, what spec should suffice for my needs? I don't really want to go overboard.

I was thinking on this:

Processor 2nd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM (2.2 GHz, 6MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 3.1 GHz
Graphics card 1GB AMD Radeon(TM) HD 7690M GDDR5 Discrete Graphics(TM) [HDMI, DP]
Memory 8GB 1600DDR3MHz System Memory (2 Dimm)
Hard drive 160GB (Solid State Drive Flash Module)
Office software No Additional Office Software
Primary battery 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
Display 15.6-inch diagonal Radiance Full HD Infinity LED-backlit Display (1920 x 1080)

For $1,269.64 (original price $1,894)

Thanks!
