NEC's new Android app brings PaPeRo robot controls to tablets
NEC was showing off its PaPeRo robot at its CES booth, and while he's been around in one form or another since 1997, the company's recently developed an Android app that lets you control the robot from your tablet device. We weren't allowed to roll him around the floor of the convention center, but we did get to have the robot show us a few gestures, speak some text, and move his dual-camera head around. PaPeRo (Partner-type Personal Robot) is a research project at NEC and isn't for sale.
