Bloomberg Businessweek has just reported that Google will introduce the next version of Google TV this year and will bring software upgrades once per year after that. The company cites Google spokesman Chris Dale and director RIshi Chandra, who said that the company doesn't intend "to stop iterating." While no specific details have been announced, Chandra says that there's "a lot of cool things happening on the recommendation engine and on the discovery experience," and said that the company wants to help users find the right content. Considering that Google has been pushing the service that struggled for much of last year, we'd say Google's in for the long haul with its TV service. After launching with only Sony and Logitech as hardware partners, the company added LG, Samsung, and Vizio at CES this year.
