Thermaltake and the Designworks USA team enjoyed great critical success with their first collaboration, the Level 10 PC case, and are returning for an encore with a similarly outlandish design for a mouse, which they're calling the Level 10 M. Only a pair of teaser images have been made available so far, though they're accompanied by enough info to get us salivating. The core of the Level 10 M mouse is hollowed out, allowing you to adjust its height, angle, size, and even shape. An array of hexagonal cutouts adds some extra flair while also facilitating better airflow under the palm.
The Level 10 M will be released this spring under the Tt eSports brand of gaming hardware. BMW's Designworks team promises it'll be only the start of a new range of collaborative accessory products, whose aim will be to extend "the Level 10 experience of the chassis to products that gamers directly interact with."

That looks cool, but more like a computer case, not something for your hand.

reminds me of the cyborg R.A.T 9

Since it’s wired it matches the R.A.T.7, which is still my favorite gaming mouse.

yup, I’ve been content with my R.A.T. 5

Damn lucky, but i’ve even loved my R.A.T 3

I’m more content with my lovely R.A.T 1

Thermaltake need to take a long hard look at their logo.
I rate it somewhere in the clipart and comic sans territory of design prowess. I know it shouldn’t effect my perception of the company, but it does just look so cheap, too cheap, distractingly cheap.. enough to cloud my judgement of what might actually be excellent products.
This mouse on the other hand does look pretty cool.

I’m so with you on this. The cheesy emboss and crappy letter placement kills me.

Put that in an email.
Do it.

I browsed to their website, and wasn’t even sure if it was their corporate website.. I immediately gestured (Opera) it away. I think I’ve said enough.

T_T
on side note, it looks like a dirt/dust trap (i’m lazy to clean my mouse)

Yep. And they used Arial.
I’m available for a redesign. :-)

That is some serious hotness. Has a similar aluminium construction to the new Corsair mice but with adjustable bits. In the market for a new mouse so definitely keeping my eye on this once.

This looks more or less like a cyborg rat without all of the weights and useless buttons. The gap in the middle also seems like a waste of space. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad that it doesn’t look like the magic mouse, but still…

So they should remove the gap in the middle and create a mouse that is seriously uncomfortable in you hand?

Your typical ergonomically shaped mouse is largely hollow. Its shape is dictated by the shape of your hand. The components themselves take up very little space (as evidenced by Microsoft’s Arc Mouse).

Useless buttons? The Rat mice have the standard number of gaming mouse buttons (except for the MMO version which needs more).

Either I’m blind or they left out one of the better photos of this device:

Reminds me of the R.A.T. 5 mouse I have, though less… angular. Love the look of the hollowed-out middle. Lots of mice would look better with the unneeded plastic taken out.

I like a heavier mouse. Logitech Performance MX is my mouse of choice, but I also dont care enough about latency to not be wireless.

so…. Price? The level 10 case was, what $800? If this is in the same range forget about it. If it’s priced “normally” I’d like to know more

I hope the level 10 M mouse will be using USB 3.0. I’ve moved on only spending my money on USB 3.o products.
