Ice Cream Sandwich OTA update for Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi rolling out
The original Android Honeycomb tablet is today bidding a happy goodbye to Android 3 and moving on up to Android 4 courtesy of an over-the-air OS update. Motorola's Xoom Wi-Fi model started receiving the official Ice Cream Sandwich update overnight, according to reports from Droid-Life, Android Central, and by our own tipsters. ICS ROMs for the tablet have been floating about already and you could've upgraded earlier if you wished it, but now the most foolproof method is being put into effect. Dare we hope to see similarly quick upgrade rollouts for the rest of the Android tablet family?
Thanks, jpatrick!
