Amazon rolls out Kindle Fire software version 6.2.2, brings full-screen Silk browsing mode
While Amazon has yet to officially announce it, the company's rolling out a new software update for Kindle Fire users. Users on Amazon's support forum are noting that software version 6.2.2 is rolling out over the air and notably includes support for a full-screen mode in the Kindle Fire Silk browser. Not surprisingly, this new update also closed root access that was previously enabled with the BurritoRoot tool, but fear not — as usual, the hackers behind this tool have already updated it and cracked 6.2.2. We're updating our Kindle Fire now and keeping our eyes peeled for Amazon's official changelog, but it sounds like there's little other user-facing changes in this update.
