Ten days ago TiVo teased an update for its TiVo Premiere DVRs but only actually distributed it to a small group of people. Now the company is letting all owners receive the improved software, rolling it out between now and the end of the month. The big changes include a guide in true HD, a pop-up mini-guide, improved information banners, improved search that works across multiple services, and multi-room streaming for those of you who happen to own several TiVo boxes (a feature that wasn't initially available to the early adopters).

TiVo is hinting that more updates are on the way "this spring," including a refreshed Netflix and YouTube app. In the meantime, go ahead and see if you can force the update to get in on the current version 20.2 action.
