Apple to give employees $500 off Macs, $250 off iPads come June
Two days after Apple announced its biggest quarter ever, CEO Tim Cook held a town hall meeting to discuss the record-setting numbers and to dole out a new employee benefit as well. 9to5Mac reports that beginning sometime in June of this year, employees will receive a $500 discount toward the purchase of a new Mac and a $250 discount toward the purchase of a new iPad. Some things to note about the discounts: you have to be an Apple employee for at least 90 days to receive the benefits, the Mac mini is not included in this promotion, and employees can only use the discounts once every three years. Remember, though, employees currently receive 25% off Macs, but letting them purchase a $500 MacBook Air is Apple's way of saying thank you. Thank you for the billions.
