If you've got an eye for detail, the title sequences that run before movies, TV shows, and video games probably grab your attention. Art of the Title, which focuses on the scenes, has just posted its interview with title scene director Paul Furminger and the game director of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Jean-François Dugas. If you haven't had a chance to play the game, you should know that the (rather spectacular) sequence slots in after a prelude in Deus Ex, and it plays an important part in the storytelling of the beginning moments of the game. Among the goodies in the interview is that they spent three months creating the two minute-plus scene and that they most definitely referenced the title sequence of The Six Million Dollar Man ("We can rebuild him"). Check out the source link below for an in-depth look at the making of the sequence, including how the team masked live-action shots to make them blend in with CGI scenes.
