The 20" early 08' iMac packs tremendous power for it's specifications, as it's performance keeps up with All-In-One's in today's market.

As this was my first Apple computer, I was hesitant at first to purchase this device. Unsure of OS X, it seemed like a whole new world of computing. However, writing this review on the same iMac today, I can tell you - it was worth it.

Simplicity is the bottom line of the iMac. The form factor is virtually nothing compared to the competition. It takes up hardly any space on my desk and is super quiet, when leaving it on for days and even weeks at a time. I often find myself turning down the brightness of the screen, as it is just too powerful in low light situations.

OS X continues to be reliable and efficient as ever. From Leopard, to Snow Leopard, and now Lion - this iMac handles all of them well. You cannot say that about XP, Vista, and 7. To note, I have done all of this with very low specifications and only had to upgrade the RAM to 4gb during my Snow Leopard upgrade.

The 20" early 08' iMac is a workhorse and I expect to be using it for another 4 years.
