Toshiba Qosmio F755 finally adds glasses-free 3D gaming support
Toshiba's Qosmio F755 laptop launched back in August missing one key feature — namely, gaming support for its glasses-free auto-stereoscopic 3D screen. After missing its initial projected November update, the company has announced "Optimized for NVIDIA GeForce 3D support" currently available via download from Toshiba’s Service Station utility. (According to 3D Vision Blog, this already came out days ago — sounds more like a ceremonial announcement to a soft launch.) The 17.3-inch machine is now available starting at $1,499, about $200 less than it was five months ago, packed with a Core i7, GeForce GT 540M, 8GB RAM, and a Blu-ray burner. To put all this another way: there's no surprise refresh to its glasses-free 3D model at CES, so if you're waiting for an Ivy Bridge version, well, you'll have to keep waiting a bit longer.
