Radeon HD 7970 now available on Newegg for $549
The Radeon HD 7970, the current king of the single-GPU hill, is now available for sale on Newegg — most models are selling at the expected price of $549, but Asus' card is $589 and XFX's overclocked model is priced at $599. Hardware partners with cards available include Asus, Gigabyte, HIS, XFX, Sapphire, and PowerColor. The Radeon HD 7970 is AMD's first graphics card built with a 28nm production process, and it replaces the HD 6970 as the company's flagship GPU.
