Apparently, your smartphone can now interface with your washing machine, if you buy into the Samsung ecosystem. Samsung just announced its new WF457 Wi-Fi capable washing machine — as long as the WF457 and a smartphone are on the same wireless network, users can set alerts, change cycles, remotely start or pause the washer, and more. The washer itself contains an 8-inch color LCD touchscreen for direct control. There's no word as to what operating systems this app will run on, but we'd bet Samsung's Android phones will certainly be compatible.
