HTC Quality Issues - One X and Nexus 7
I'm considering a return to Android. A consequent google session has me worried about picking the HTC One X. So far I've heard of unreliable wifi, abysmal battery life(5-8 hours for most, 1 day for a few), scalding temperatures during ordinary usage and depressing chipping of finish. I preferred the HOX because it retails at $450~ on Amazon (carrier contract phones unlocked). I've also seen many complain of wifi issues with the Nexus 7(built by HTC). Now seeing as they're doing poorly financially, is quality slipping? Are any of these issues fixed with custom ROMs?
P.S. I'm genuinely pondering a switch from WP7.5, and the only android devices I have is a wifi Xoom. This is not a HTC flame post.
